WOOD DALE, IL and San Diego,
CA - April 1, 2002 - Season Tickets and the San Diego
Padres announced today an agreement to provide the Padres
organization and their fans access to three Internet-based
products for the upcoming MLB season. This software
will provide Padres fans a whole new ticket purchasing
experience, as well as, offer the San Diego Padres a
more cost effective and efficient way of putting tickets
into the hands of the customers.
In addition to the ST Ticket Exchange, which will provide
a marketplace for the fans to buy and sell tickets online,
suite and season ticket holders will be able to utilize
ST Management to manage their ticket inventory and calculate
their return on investment.
Also, organizations desiring to purchase 20 or more
tickets as a group will be able to access a personalized
web site to buy tickets online at special group rates.
Individual group members would then log in to the site
and purchase tickets directly from the team, thereby
eliminating the need for the group administrator to
collect money or distribute tickets.
"We're highly anticipating the launch of this seemingly
unbeatable business proposal based upon the needs and
requests of our city's fans," said Padres Vice-President
Mike Dee.
"We feel very confident that the fans will find
this to be a very user friendly system, with a new and
unique method of buying, selling, and managing their
ticket investment, " said ST Executive Vice-President,
Scott Sloyer. "We're extremely happy to have the
Padres organization as a client, and we look forward
to a long term relationship that exceeds their expectations."
